A six-year-old boy has been murdered by his uncle in Marondera.
Knowledge Kapesa has been arrested after he confessed to killing Tashinga. He dumped the body in a nearby river. The motive for the killing is not yet known. But the murder by Knowledge who is a brother to Tashinga’s father has torched a nasty family row.
Tashinga’s father Blessing is accusing his father, Emmanuel Kapesa of conniving with the murderer. The elderly Kapesa had to flee and seek refuge elsewhere after Blessing threatened to axe him.
Kapesa spent the whole night hiding but later returned after being persuaded by neighbours. A neighbour to the Kapesa family, Mr Chrispen Mashayamombe says the whole community is still in shock following the tragic incident.
Tashinga was an Early Childhood Development pupil at Grand Chase School.
